  • The Clemens Family

Mark Twain, whose real name was Samuel Clemens, had a large family. Besides his parents he had 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Along with his wife, Olivia, they had 1 son, 3 daughters, and a granddaughter.

A family tree is kind of a map that shows all the members of a family and how they are related to each other. A family tree can be very small, showing just parents and their children, or it can be very big, including grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and more.

Click on the picture of Sam's family below to see Mark Twain's family tree. This family tree shows Mark Twain's parents, his brothers and sisters, his children, and his grandchild. Under each person's name you will see how each person was related to Mark Twain, the year they were born and the year they died. Once you have looked at Mark Twain's family tree use the tree provided to write your own.
